Our Song

A 3 hour group writing session (either virtual or in person) centered around resistance, self esteem, positive social interactions, creativity and letting go of fear. This session can be geared towards various populations; veterans, families, social groups, corporate groups, rehabilitation centers or the incarcerated. Participants will engage in journal prompts, group discussion and finally group songwriting. At the end of the session, the group will record a rough demo to be shared with all participants.

Listen.

Give them the stage

Once the connections have been met, the date has been set and the songs have been written, we literally give them the stage

“I Can’t Breathe” by The Mighty Writers (Philadelphia, PA)

“Music is the beat to my victory. How am I gonna win if I can’t breathe? Art is the thing that’s gonna save me. This song is what cures my misery.”

“Girls L.E.A.D. Anthem” by Girls Lead! (Dayton, Oh)

“No drama. Protection all around me. Nobody else in my lane. I believe there is a purpose for me. Good vibes will guide my way.”

“Finally Me” by Century High School Students (Baltimore, MD)

Favorite lyric: “I see the sun. I’m gonna run. Dawn is breaking and I’m finally free. I’m finally me.”

“I Am Enough” by The Academy

“All through my life I fought my abuse and my addictions. When I hit rock bottom I found my conviction. At my weakest and loneliest I was met with love. That’s when I realized that yes, I am enough.”
